Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Dependent on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join primary and secondary schools across Scunthorpe. This role offers both flexible daily supply work and long-term opportunities, tailored to your availability and career goals.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers and other staff to provide academic, social, and emotional support to students. You will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential by creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Teaching Assistant (TA) Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
- Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Provide tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs.
- Monitor and record pupil progress under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Supervise pupils during breaks or educational trips as needed.
- Uphold the school’s policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and equality.
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working in a school or childcare setting as a Teaching Assistant (TA) is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (preferred but not mandatory).
- A positive, proactive, and patient approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work across different key stages depending on school needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
