Salary Range: £120 - £130 per day (Depending on Experience)

As a Primary ECT, you will take on full classroom responsibilities while receiving the guidance and support needed to complete your induction year successfully. You'll inspire young minds, build strong foundations in learning, and become a valued member of the school community.

Key Responsibilities of Primary ECT:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, tailoring support where needed.
  • Establish a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupil outcomes.
  • Take part in staff training, mentoring, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in events and enrichment opportunities.

Requirements of Primary ECT:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a desire to make a positive difference.
  • Willingness to learn, reflect, and grow as a professional.
  • Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
