Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: High Peak
Salary: £95 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 8:30am – 4:20pm

GSL Education are on the lookout for a passionate and motivated Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in High Peak. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their educational journey.
This role requires a proactive and compassionate individual who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff, providing tailored support to help students succeed in both academic and social settings.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils, particularly those with SEN.
- Help teachers bring lessons to life and keep students engaged in learning.
- Support children in their academic, emotional, and social development.
- Create an inclusive and nurturing environment where all students feel valued.
- Prepare learning materials, assist in lesson delivery, and maintain classroom organisation.
- Track student progress and collaborate with teaching and support staff.
Criteria for Applicants:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in a primary school setting.
- A passion for supporting students with diverse needs, particularly SEN.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
- Must be adaptable, empathetic, and capable of managing a range of learning needs.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
- A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
