Teacher of Maths

Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary:
MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

Contract: Full Time

GSL Education are currently seeking a number of dynamic and committed Teachers of Maths to join our Client Secondary Schools across York, North Yorkshire. These roles offer flexibility and can be tailored to suit experienced teachers looking to broaden their expertise, as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or talented Maths graduates embarking on their teaching journey.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across a range of abilities and Key Stages.
  • Inspire students through active learning strategies.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Follow the ethos and policies of the school, promoting positive behaviour throughout the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and creative teaching approaches.

Teacher of Maths Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths or STEM Degree.
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths within a school or educational setting (placements accepted for ECTs).
  • Able to provide two professional references from within the last two years.
  • Demonstrate a passion for teaching and the ability to adapt learning to meet diverse student needs.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
