Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

GSL Education are currently seeking qualified and experienced Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teachers to join a secondary school in York, North Yorkshire.

You will be joining a supportive department within a well-resourced and forward-thinking secondary school committed to high standards and student achievement.

MFL Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.

MFL Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and engage students in their language learning journey.
  • Monitor progress and provide effective feedback.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives.
