Primary Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150 – £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and creative Primary Teacher to join nurturing and well-resourced primary schools in Rotherham. As a Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in laying the educational foundation for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for delivering the national curriculum in a way that is engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:

  • Deliver well-structured and creative lessons that inspire and challenge all pupils.
  • Teach across KS1, or KS2 depending on school and placement needs.
  • Use effective differentiation to ensure all pupils, including EAL and lower-attaining learners, can achieve success.
  • Plan lessons according to the National Curriculum and school schemes of work.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform next steps in learning.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure effective support for all learners.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and well-being.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and INSET days as required.
  • Uphold school policies regarding safeguarding, behaviour, inclusion, and equality.

What we need from a Primary Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience teaching in UK primary schools is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
