Geography Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Geography Teacher to join secondary schools across Hull, starting in September 2025. Whether you’re interested in a full-time, part-time, day-to-day supply, or long-term teaching opportunity, we would love to support you in your career.

As a Teacher of Geography, you will have the chance to ignite students' curiosity about the planet, from its landscapes to the complexities of global issues. You will teach a diverse and engaging curriculum, preparing students for their GCSEs and beyond while fostering a deeper understanding of geographical concepts.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching is desirable)
  • Develop and deliver exciting and interactive lessons in both physical and human geography
  • Promote an understanding of current global issues and environmental awareness
  • Help students develop critical thinking, research, and analytical skills through practical and theoretical work
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
  • Participate in extracurricular activities related to geography, such as field trips or clubs
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning

Requirements for Teacher of Geography:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
  • A degree in Geography or a related field
  • Previous experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for Geography and the ability to engage students with real-world applications
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
