A forward-thinking secondary school in Stoke Poges is seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Science to lead their department from September 2025.

The Role:

Lead and manage the Science department across KS3 and KS4

Support and develop a team of teachers and subject leads

Monitor progress and raise achievement across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

Champion a culture of excellence, curiosity, and inclusion in Science education
What You’ll Need:

QTS and a strong academic background in Science

Experience as a subject lead or second in department

Proven ability to raise standards and lead with purpose

Strong classroom practice and a clear understanding of assessment
