Job Title: Autism Support Worker
Location: Wareham
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

Day-to-Day Tasks of an Autism Support Worker:
- Offer emotional and social support to help students build friendships and connect with others.
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with children with autism, helping them learn important life skills.
- Help teachers create and follow learning plans that fit each child's needs.
- Watch how students are doing and make changes to your support to help them grow and succeed.
- Encourage and motivate students to take part in classroom activities and group tasks.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and families to help guide their development.
- Help children develop independent skills, encouraging them to take on new challenges.
What we need from you:
- A real interest in helping children with autism.
- Experience supporting children with autism, preferably in a school or similar environment.
- Patience, kindness, and the ability to adjust your help to each child’s needs.
- Good communication skills to work with teachers, students, and families.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years, including explanations for any gaps.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to get one).
