GSL Education are seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to work in schools in Bovington, offering dedicated support to students dealing with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Role Accountabilities:

  • Offer emotional and practical support to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Help individuals build coping strategies to manage their mental health.

  • Assist in day-to-day activities, providing support where needed.
  • Encourage personal development, independence, and confidence.
  • Monitor and track individuals’ progress, providing feedback when necessary.
  • Promote mental health awareness and contribute to an understanding, supportive atmosphere.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Ability to adapt to individual needs and provide tailored support.
  • An updated CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps).
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
