Job Title: Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe
Rate: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time

We have an incredible opportunity for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Scunthorpe. This is your chance to make a lasting impact and be part of something truly special!

About the Role:

As a Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Assistant in Scunthorpe, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualised support plans for students with mental health and wellbeing needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Monitor and assess progress, provide feedback to relevant parties, and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other support staff and families to ensure a cohesive approach to development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and report to relevant parties.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the community.
  • Deep commitment to helping students with mental health and wellbeing needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN preferred.

To excel in this position, you will need to:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV covering last 10 years with no unexplained gaps and two relevant references from the last two years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one.
