Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a supportive primary school in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to young children's early development in a caring, engaging, and nature-inspired environment.
Responsibilities of Early Years Practitioner:
- Support early years children through play-based learning, daily routines, and exploration.
- Encourage independence, communication, and social interaction in a nurturing setting.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom and outdoor environment.
- Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to their next steps in learning.
- Provide emotional support and encourage confidence and curiosity throughout the day.
- Participate in Forest School activities, supporting outdoor learning opportunities.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Holds a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Has experience working with young children, ideally within a school or nursery setting.
- Brings energy, creativity, and patience to every interaction.
- Is adaptable and confident supporting children with a range of learning needs.
- Has Forest School experience or a qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Can provide a CV covering the last 10 years with all gaps explained.
- Holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
