GSL Education are on the hunt for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our vibrant secondary school in Chichester. This full-time job offers a competitive annual pay rate of £17,500 to £19,500 per annum, with the potential for a permanent contract after a successful probation period. The role is due to start ASAP or whenever the successful candidate’s notice period has been completed.
About the Role
Step into a role where every day brings new challenges and rewards. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you'll be at the heart of the classroom, working together with the class teacher to ensure every student reaches their full potential. Your day-to-day will include:
- Lesson Preparation: Dive into the creative process of preparing engaging lesson materials and activities.
- Student Support: Provide personalised one-on-one and small group assistance, helping students navigate their studies with confidence.
- Positive Reinforcement: Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging good behaviour and modelling respectful interactions.
- Skill Development: Implement evidence-based strategies to support students in honing their academic and practical skills.
- Progress Tracking: Keep detailed records of student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive support network for students.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a similar role or working with students with additional needs.
- A genuine passion for education and student support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education are a plus.
- Resilience and adaptability, especially when working with students on EHCPs across the school.
