About the Role:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 years. You will create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment that nurtures every child’s curiosity, independence, and love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster a warm, secure, and stimulating environment that promotes children’s learning and development.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform future planning and parental engagement.
  • Support children with personal care routines respectfully and sensitively.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure children's individual needs are met.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interactions among children.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised learning environment, ensuring safeguarding practices are followed at all times.

Job Requirements:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is essential.
  • Recent experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or Reception class setting.
  • Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Ability to plan and deliver activities that stimulate and challenge young learners.
  • A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to working with children.

Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.

  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
