Job Title: Primary Supply Teacher
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £130 - £180 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a caring and flexible Primary Supply Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Scunthorpe. This is an amazing opportunity to help children enjoy learning and make a difference in their education. You’ll step into the classroom, bringing energy and kindness, whether you’re covering a short-term absence or staying longer to support the students. Your presence will help them feel confident, engaged, and excited to learn every day.
Your Key Tasks and Duties:
- Leading engaging and easy-to-understand lessons for children in different primary year groups.
- Quickly adjusting to new classrooms and following each school’s unique approach.
- Creating a positive, safe, and welcoming environment where every student feels supported.
- Keeping students on task and promoting good behaviour throughout lessons.
- Becoming the trusted teacher schools reach out to when they need extra support.
Candidate Expectations:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a similar teaching qualification.
- Experience working in primary schools, including Early Years, KS1, or KS2.
- Someone with a passion for helping children grow, learn, and succeed.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work well with both students and staff.
- Quick to build positive relationships with children and colleagues alike.
- A CV that reflects your experience over the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).
