GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bournemouth. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in Delivering Lessons: Support class teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons.
- Provide One-to-One or Group Support: Help pupils who need extra support to understand the learning material.
- Encourage a Positive Learning Environment: Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom space.
- Support Student Development: Contribute to the academic and emotional progress of children, including those with additional needs.
- Assist with Behaviour and Organisation: Help maintain a calm and focused classroom environment.
Criteria for Applicants:
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant is preferred but not essential.
- University students, particularly those studying education, psychology, or related subjects, are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience with SEN is an added bonus.
- A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
- Flexible, patient, and enthusiastic in supporting varied learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
- Up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
