Salary: £150-230 per day (Depending on experience)

Offering a competitive daily rate of £150 to £230, this full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your teaching will nurture progress in both academic and personal development, creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and accessible lessons to students with a variety of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.
  • Use a range of strategies to support individual learning styles and EHCP outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with TAs, therapists, and support staff to meet each child’s educational, social, and emotional needs.
  • Track pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to review meetings and assessments.
  • Create a classroom culture that fosters positive behaviour, inclusion, and resilience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a consistent support approach.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment in line with safeguarding expectations.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEND in either a mainstream or specialist setting.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet individual learning needs.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills using therapeutic and inclusive approaches.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient nature with a commitment to nurturing pupil wellbeing.
  • Profoundly knowledgeable on various Special Education Needs conditions, including ASD, SEMH, Physical difficulties and ADHD, etc.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
