Student Support Officer – Winchester

Location: Winchester
Pay: £14.24 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate Start

GSL Education is currently recruiting a Student Support Officer to work within a mainstream secondary school in Winchester.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is caring, reliable and confident supporting young people with their health and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Student Support Officer duites:

• Supporting pupils who become unwell during the school day.

• Contacting parents and carers when pupils are unwell or need to go home.

• Administering medication in line with school policies and procedures.

• Providing first aid to pupils when required.

• Monitoring pupils' wellbeing and ensuring they receive appropriate care.

• Maintaining accurate records of incidents and medication administered.

Requirements for Student Support Officer

• Must hold a valid First Aid qualification.

• Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check.

• A caring and patient approach.

• Confident communicating with pupils, parents and school staff.

• Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing or school environment would be beneficial.
