From providing one-to-one support to assisting small groups, you'll play an important role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and make progress in their education.

About the School:

  • Work alongside subject teachers to encourage positive engagement during lessons.

  • Support students during lesson transitions and less structured parts of the school day where required.

  • Encourage participation in classroom activities and help pupils stay focused on their learning.

  • Monitor behaviour and progress, sharing relevant observations with teaching and pastoral staff.

  • Promote a safe, respectful and structured learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged children or young people is desirable.

  • Understanding of behaviour management and the challenges faced by adolescent learners.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • A patient, resilient and consistent approach.
