GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for a passionate Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join a school in Doncaster. This role is ideal for an educator who can deliver varied physical education lessons, develop pupils' sporting abilities and encourage confidence, discipline and teamwork.
You will be responsible for making physical education accessible and enjoyable for children and young people with different interests and abilities. By introducing varied activities and encouraging active participation, you can help pupils develop skills that extend beyond the sports field.
Responsibilities of a PE Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for pupils with different abilities.
- Teach a variety of sports, physical activities and movement skills.
- Encourage teamwork, fair play and positive participation.
- Monitor pupils' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt activities to support individual needs and abilities.
- Maintain safety during practical lessons and sporting activities.
- Inspire pupils to develop healthy habits and an active lifestyle.
Requirements for the PE Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for physical education.
- Experience teaching PE in a school setting is desirable.
- Ability to motivate pupils and manage classroom and practical activities.
- Effective communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
