  • Work alongside subject teachers to support learning across different departments.

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students experiencing behavioural or emotional difficulties.

  • Encourage positive interactions, self-confidence and appropriate behaviour.

  • Support students in accessing lessons and preparing for GCSE learning where appropriate.

  • Monitor behaviour and engagement, sharing relevant observations with teaching and pastoral staff.

  • Help maintain a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged children or young people is desirable.

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by adolescent learners.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour management.

  • Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

  • Confidence working alongside teachers and pastoral teams.
