You will support children's communication, social development and early learning while working alongside teaching staff to meet individual needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive contribution to their early educational experiences.

About the School:

This supportive school values the importance of early childhood development and aims to give every child a positive start to their education. Staff work together to provide a nurturing, structured environment where children are encouraged to explore, build relationships and develop independence at their own pace.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children's learning and development through age-appropriate play and practical activities.

  • Help children develop communication, social skills and independence.

  • Assist with early learning activities, including language, numeracy and creative play.

  • Maintain a safe, welcoming and well-organised learning environment.

  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and encourage positive interactions.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to meet children's individual needs.

  • Observe children's progress and share relevant feedback with the team.

  • Follow safeguarding procedures and support children's health, safety and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Early Years qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, is desirable.

  • Previous experience working with young children in an early years or educational setting is advantageous.

  • A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • An understanding of children's early development and learning needs.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A genuine commitment to helping young children feel safe, included and ready to learn.

If you are ready to support young children's development and help them build a strong foundation for learning, we would welcome your application.
