Salary: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)

Are you a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant who can help pupils overcome challenges and feel confident in their learning?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a school in Doncaster. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children and young people, supporting classroom activities and helping pupils make progress in a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
- Help pupils understand instructions and complete learning tasks.
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation.
- Support pupils with different learning abilities and individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming classroom.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:
- Previous experience working with children or young people as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, supportive and adaptable approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
