GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for part-time opportunities in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting classroom learning and helping pupils build confidence and independence.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils with their learning and development. You will help create a positive classroom environment, encourage participation and provide additional support to pupils who need it.
Key Responsibilities

Support teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation.

Provide individual and small-group learning support.

Help pupils stay engaged, focused and motivated.

Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour.

Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.

Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
