  • Help children develop their communication, social skills and independence.

  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging early years activities.

  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

  • Support children's personal care needs in line with setting procedures.

  • Observe children's progress and share relevant updates with colleagues and parents where appropriate.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and help children understand routines and boundaries.

  • Follow safeguarding procedures and promote children's welfare at all times.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Early Years qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3, is desirable.

  • Experience working with young children in an early years or childcare setting is advantageous.

  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
