Responsibilities:
-
Supervise classes across different subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials.
-
Ensure students understand the work set and remain engaged throughout lessons.
-
Maintain appropriate classroom behaviour and uphold school expectations.
-
Encourage students to complete tasks independently and make productive use of lesson time.
-
Respond to general questions and direct subject-specific queries to the relevant teaching staff.
-
Report any concerns, incidents or issues with completed work to the appropriate staff.
-
Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe classroom environment.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
-
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
-
A confident, calm and adaptable approach.
-
Ability to give clear instructions and manage a group of students.
