Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for a committed Mathematics Teacher to work with a welcoming school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will deliver well-planned lessons, explain mathematical concepts clearly and support pupils in developing their reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Your responsibilities as a Maths Teacher will include:
- Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons.
- Explain mathematical concepts using clear and varied teaching approaches.
- Adapt activities to meet different abilities and learning needs.
- Develop pupils' numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote positive behaviour and active participation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' academic development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential for the Maths Teacher role.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics and its curriculum.
- Previous teaching experience in a school setting is desirable.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to motivate pupils and build positive learning relationships.
- Strong communication, planning and organisational abilities.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
