PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANT
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity?
I’m currently working with several primary schools across Lewisham who are looking for warm, caring and reliable experienced support staff to join their teams. The ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a primary school or classroom environment and be confident supporting pupils with their learning, development and day-to-day needs. Teaching Assistant duties
- Support teachers with classroom learning and behaviour management.
- Provide 1-to-1 and small-group support, including for SEND pupils.
- Assist with literacy, numeracy, reading and classroom activities.
- Prepare learning resources and help maintain an organised classroom.
- Supervise pupils during lessons, break times, lunch and school activities.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement and pupil wellbeing.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
Role Requirements
- Relevant experience of working with children is necessary
- A Clear Enhanced DBS check - We can help arrange one if needed!
- GCSE A*-C or equivalent in Maths and English
- A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
