Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Redbridge
Salary Scale: £95–£120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term and Full Time

 

GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a school in Redbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced SEN professional to support students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex behaviours, non-verbal communication and medical needs.

 

About the PMLD Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Providing individualised support to students with complex learning needs.

  • Supporting non-verbal students with communication and engagement.

  • Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.

  • Supporting students with medical needs in line with individual care plans and school procedures.

  • Encouraging independence, wellbeing and participation in learning activities.

 

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have previous experience supporting students with PMLD or complex SEN.

  • Be confident supporting students with complex behaviours and communication needs.

  • Be comfortable providing personal care and supporting medical needs.

  • Have a patient, compassionate and proactive approach.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.
