  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, adapting plans where necessary.

  • Establish clear classroom routines and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional and personal development.

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff and other professionals to support individual learning plans.

  • Communicate with parents and carers where appropriate.

  • Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs is desirable.

  • Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and individual learning plans.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Patience, adaptability and a commitment to inclusive education.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

If you're ready to use your teaching skills to help pupils overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress, we'd welcome your application.
