The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school, educational, care or mentoring setting
  • Be confident providing individual and small-group support
  • Help pupils develop positive learning behaviours, emotional resilience and greater independence

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, teachers and other professionals
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
  • Adapt their approach to meet pupils' individual learning, social and emotional requirements

Experience working in a specialist school, supporting pupils with SEND or providing targeted mentoring would be advantageous. Applications from graduates looking to develop their experience in education and SEND support are also welcome.
