Location: Folkestone, Kent
Salary: £93.33+ per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term supply

This position is ideal for a SEND Intervention Practitioner who thrives in a consistent Monday–Friday routine and has the skills to support pupils with autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and speech and language difficulties.

As a SEND Intervention Practitioner, you will be expected to:
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions to support pupils' individual learning and developmental goals.
- Help pupils develop communication skills, sensory regulation strategies, and emotional wellbeing.
- Apply calm, consistent, and positive strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to maintain a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Implement individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and personalised learning strategies.
- Encourage independence, daily living skills, and personal autonomy.
- Monitor pupils' progress and contribute to their ongoing learning and development.
To be considered for this SEND Intervention Practitioner role, the candidate must:
- Have recent experience supporting children or young people with additional needs in a school, care, or similar setting.
- Possess a nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Have a genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Meet GSL Education's safer recruitment requirements.
- Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
