Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children build confidence and make progress in their learning? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield S5 is looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join its team and provide valuable classroom support.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across their day-to-day learning. You will assist with lessons, provide targeted one-to-one or small-group support and help children stay engaged with their learning.
The role may involve supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on the school's needs. Your experience and Level 3 qualification will allow you to take an active role in helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher with planning, preparation and classroom activities.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support based on pupils' learning needs.

Assist children with literacy, numeracy and other age-appropriate activities.

Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.

Help children develop independence and confidence in the classroom.

Contribute to a safe, organised and positive learning environment.

Monitor pupils' engagement and provide relevant feedback to teaching staff.
Requirements:

A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable.

Understanding of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 learning environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, caring and consistent approach when supporting children.

Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other support staff.

A genuine commitment to children's learning, development and wellbeing.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
