Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting enthusiastic and caring Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to work in Early Years settings across Sheffield. We are looking for individuals who can provide stimulating learning experiences, recognise different developmental needs, and help children build strong foundations during the earliest stages of their education.
As an Early Years Practitioner (EYP), you will support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), encouraging communication, creativity, social interaction, physical development, and independence.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Organise purposeful play and learning activities appropriate to different developmental stages
- Develop early communication, language, literacy, and numeracy through everyday experiences
- Observe individual development and contribute to accurate progress records
- Facilitate creative, sensory, physical, and exploratory learning opportunities
- Encourage positive relationships, confidence, and independent decision-making
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating Early Years environment
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Experience in Early Years, nursery, childcare, or a similar environment is desirable
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Knowledge of key areas of early childhood learning and development
- Ability to engage young children through purposeful and age-appropriate activities
- Patient, caring, attentive, and dependable approach to Early Years practice
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
