Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in welcoming schools across Doncaster. We would like to hear from individuals who can work effectively alongside teachers, respond to different learning needs, and provide focused assistance that enables students to participate and make progress.
The Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to contribute to everyday classroom learning by reinforcing lesson content, assisting individuals and small groups, and encouraging learners to develop greater confidence and independence.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted assistance during lessons and classroom activities
- Work one-to-one and with small groups to reinforce key concepts
- Adapt activities and resources to accommodate different learning needs
- Encourage participation, confidence, and independent working
- Observe progress and communicate relevant information to teaching staff
- Contribute to positive classroom routines and an inclusive learning environment
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Understanding of different learning needs and suitable support strategies
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish constructive relationships
- Confidence providing individual and small-group assistance
- Patient, organised, reliable, and adaptable approach to classroom support
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
