Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to work with a school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will deliver engaging physical education while encouraging pupils to develop teamwork, discipline and a positive attitude towards physical activity.

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons.
  • Adapt activities to accommodate different abilities and needs.
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline and positive participation.
  • Promote the importance of physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety during practical sessions.
  • Support wider sporting and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Requirements for PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential for the PE Teacher role.
  • Strong knowledge of Physical Education and relevant sporting activities.
  • Previous experience teaching PE within a school setting is desirable.
  • Effective classroom and practical-session management skills.
  • Ability to motivate pupils and encourage active participation.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
