Are you ready to inspire students through engaging and practical Computer Studies lessons?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking an enthusiastic Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with a school in Sheffield. This role would suit someone who can make technical concepts understandable while encouraging young people to develop logical thinking, digital literacy and responsible technology use.
Your role as a Computer Studies Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across relevant computing topics.
- Break down technical concepts into accessible learning activities.
- Develop pupils' digital literacy and problem-solving skills.
- Use appropriate technology and resources to enhance learning.
- Assess pupils' understanding and monitor progress.
- Encourage safe and responsible use of digital technology.
- Maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
Requirements for being a Computer Studies Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Computer Studies, Computing or a related subject.
- Previous teaching experience within a school setting is desirable.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to engage pupils with different levels of digital knowledge.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
