Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently looking for a committed Mathematics Teacher to work with a dynamic school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will deliver clear and engaging lessons while adapting their approach to support students with different levels of ability and confidence.

Your responsibilities as a Maths Teacher will include:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured Mathematics lessons.
  • Explain mathematical concepts using clear and varied teaching approaches.
  • Adapt activities to meet different learning needs.
  • Develop pupils' reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' progress.

Requirements to be considered for the Maths Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
  • Previous Mathematics teaching experience within a school setting is desirable.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to motivate pupils and develop positive learning relationships.
  • Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
