Salary: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time
Are you passionate about helping young people manage challenging behaviour and build positive relationships?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for a patient and resilient Behaviour Support to work with an amazing school in Sheffield. The role involves supporting pupils who may require additional guidance with their behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with education.
As a Behaviour Support, you will:
- Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with behavioural needs.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Help students develop strategies for managing their behaviour and emotions.
- Encourage positive choices and engagement with learning.
- Support staff with behaviour management strategies and interventions.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging situations.
- Monitor pupils' progress and communicate relevant concerns to staff.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable.
- Experience in education, youth work, care or a similar support setting would be beneficial.
- Patient, calm and consistent approach.
- Ability to establish positive professional boundaries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience and confidence when supporting challenging behaviour.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
