Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary classroom? A welcoming school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. Your day may include helping children with learning activities, providing one-to-one or small-group support, preparing classroom resources and encouraging pupils to become more confident and independent learners. You will also support positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with classroom learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support according to individual needs.

Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.

Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.

Support age-appropriate behaviour and maintain effective classroom routines.

Assist with pupils' social, emotional and pastoral development.

Prepare learning resources and support classroom organisation where required.

Monitor pupils' engagement and provide feedback to the class teacher.
Requirements:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.

Good understanding of primary education and age-appropriate learning.

A patient, caring and consistent approach.
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-
Confidence providing one-to-one and small-group support.

A genuine commitment to helping children progress and succeed.
To work with GSL Education as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary), you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
