Salary: £95 – £155 per day (depending on experience)
Role Overview:
A forward-thinking secondary school in the OL9 area is looking for an experienced and proactive Pastoral Lead to join their student support team. In this pivotal full-time role, you will lead on pastoral care, driving positive student engagement, attendance, and wellbeing across the school.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee pastoral support for a designated year group or cohort, acting as the key point of contact for student welfare.

Manage behaviour management plans, attendance interventions, and safeguarding escalations.

Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to establish strong support networks.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to foster an inclusive and nurturing school environment.
Requirements:

Substantial prior experience in a pastoral or student support role within a secondary school setting.

Deep understanding of safeguarding procedures (DSL training is highly desirable).

Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and active listening skills.

Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with teenagers and their families.
