Job Title: Teacher of PSHCE
Location: North Yorkshire
Contract Type: Temporary, Part Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Salary Scale: £34,068 to £52,834 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently seeking a Teacher of PSHCE to work in a well-established secondary school in North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to pupils’ personal development and wellbeing while delivering engaging, purposeful and age-appropriate learning.
Teacher of PSHCE Role:
The successful Teacher of PSHCE will deliver engaging lessons covering key areas of personal, social, health and citizenship education. You will create a supportive classroom environment where pupils feel comfortable discussing important topics, developing informed opinions and building the skills needed for life beyond school.
Teacher of PSHCE Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PSHCE lessons that meet curriculum objectives and pupils’ developmental needs.
- Teach age-appropriate content covering personal wellbeing, relationships, health, citizenship and wider social issues.
- Encourage pupils to communicate respectfully, think critically and develop informed opinions.
- Differentiate learning activities to support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Assess pupils’ understanding and provide constructive feedback to support their personal development.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel respected, valued and confident to participate.
Teacher of PSHCE Requirements:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of PSHCE and relevant areas of personal, social, health and citizenship education.
- Previous experience teaching PSHCE or related subjects within a secondary school setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to facilitate sensitive discussions appropriately.
- A caring, approachable and reflective teaching style with a genuine commitment to pupils’ personal development and wellbeing.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
