SEN Teaching Assistant required in Lewisham
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEN TA looking for a rewarding full-time role in Lewisham?
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their expanding support team.
This exciting SEN Teaching Assistant job in Lewisham will see you supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, Global Development Delay and Social Communication Needs.
The school is a 2-form entry primary school with excellent facilities and a highly experienced SEND team. Due to continued growth in pupil numbers and additional funding, they are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant in Lewisham who can provide consistent support and make a real difference.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Lewisham, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO
- Support children with Autism, ADHD and SEN
- Deliver targeted interventions
- Assist with emotional regulation strategies
- Encourage social development and positive behaviour
- Help pupils develop confidence and independence

Requirements
To apply for this SEN Teaching Assistant role you should have:
- Previous experience working in a school environment
- A passion for supporting children with SEN
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
Salary
- £95 per day
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am to 4pm
- Full-time position
