Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking confident and resilient Behaviour Support to work in vibrant schools in Rotherham. We would like to hear from individuals who can understand the factors behind challenging behaviour, establish clear boundaries, and provide consistent guidance that helps students participate more positively in school life.
The Behaviour Support will have the opportunity to work alongside teaching and pastoral teams to support learners who experience behavioural or emotional difficulties, helping them develop self-regulation, improve engagement, and build more constructive responses to challenging situations.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Develop positive working relationships with students requiring additional behavioural guidance
- Recognise triggers and early signs of frustration, conflict, or disengagement
- Apply appropriate behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Help young people reflect on incidents and identify more constructive responses
- Reinforce clear expectations and consistent routines throughout the school day
- Communicate relevant observations and progress to teaching and pastoral staff
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Experience in education, mentoring, youth work, care, or a related setting
- Understanding of positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to remain composed and respond appropriately in challenging circumstances
- Confidence setting clear boundaries while maintaining constructive relationships
- Strong communication skills with a resilient and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
