Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a primary school? A welcoming school in Sheffield S5 is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the primary classroom. Your day may include one-to-one and small-group activities, helping children stay engaged with their learning and providing additional support where needed across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with their learning through one-to-one and small-group activities.

Work alongside the class teacher to prepare and deliver classroom activities.

Provide additional support with literacy, numeracy and early learning.

Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop independence.

Support pupils with their social, emotional and pastoral needs.

Assist with classroom routines and wider school activities.

Monitor pupils' progress and share relevant feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Previous experience working in a primary school is desirable.

A good understanding of children's learning and development.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A patient, adaptable and supportive approach.

Commitment to creating a positive learning environment for pupils.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
