Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support professional to join its team.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support professional, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them manage behaviour, stay engaged in lessons and make positive progress. You will support classroom routines, lesson transitions and individual students who may need additional guidance, working alongside subject teachers and pastoral staff across different departments.

Responsibilities:

Provide behaviour and classroom support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Work alongside subject teachers to support positive engagement in lessons.

Build trusting and professional relationships with students.

Support students during lesson transitions and throughout the school day.

Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and participation.

Provide additional support to students who may be experiencing barriers to learning.

Share relevant observations and feedback with teachers and pastoral staff.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable.

Experience with behaviour support in a secondary school setting is advantageous.

A calm, patient and consistent approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.

A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.

Ability to work effectively with teachers and wider school staff.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
