GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join a successful secondary school in York. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the secondary age range, supporting students to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Preparing students effectively for GCSE examinations.
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Building positive relationships with students and encouraging high standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and achievement.
The Ideal Maths Teacher
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
- Has strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 Maths.
- Can plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Has effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is passionate about helping students develop confidence in Maths.
- Is reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting students' academic progress.
