Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92 – £110 per day
GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full-time education support role at a welcoming specialist school in Scarborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people and wants to make a positive difference to their educational experience.
The Role
You will be supporting pupils across the school, helping them to engage with learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills. The role may involve working with pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis, providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
As the Ideal Teaching Assistant, you should have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs is advantageous.
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
