Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN School in POOLE
Location: Poole
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £14.24 per hour
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in education? GSL Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Poole to recruit a dedicated full-time Learning Support Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build meaningful experience in a SEN school setting. The school itself is on large groups with amazing outdoor space, therapy rooms, sensory spaces, a hyrotherapy pool and an excellent, dedicated staff team.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in helping students succeed both academically and personally. This is a varied, rewarding role where no two days are the same.
You will be:
- Supporting students with complex special needs
- Providing in-class support across a range of subjects
- Delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions
- Encouraging confidence, engagement and positive behaviour for learning
- Working closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to support progress
- Providing assistance with personal care, feeding, medication

- Experience working with young people or within education is desirable
- Candidates with transferable skills (youth work, coaching, care, mentoring, support work etc.) will also be considered
