SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Earl Shilton area.
We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH and communication and learning difficulties.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.

Support pupils with their learning, communication and emotional development.

Assist with implementing individual support plans and strategies.

Encourage positive behaviour and help create an inclusive learning environment.

Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.

Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.

A patient, nurturing and supportive approach.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations.

A genuine passion for supporting children and making a difference.

Teaching Assistant qualifications or relevant experience are desirable but not essential.
